Door Locks after closing door

2006 Acura TL. While warming the car up, key in ignition & running if I get out of car and close the drivers door, all locks activate locking me out. Have to leave window part way down to reach through and unlock. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

You should be able to program when the doors lock. Go into your keyless settings on the little instrument panel on the dash. Where it displays miles, oil life, etc.. You should be able to set the doors to lock when you engage drive, hit 10mph, etc.. I found this extremely useful for programming my doors to unlock when I put the car in park. My buddies get extremely annoyed when they go to get out and the doors are locked.

Thanks for responding, I tried all of that, I've disconnected the battery for about 15 minutes hoping to reset the values, but nothing is helping.

Might be some kind of sensor that tells the car its not in park and than locks the doors. Because you can set to lock when the car goes in drive. Is it on the setting now? If so try changing it...

Thumbs up

What he's referring to has nothing to do with the settings, because I've modified my settings as well and this is unrelated.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. I noticed my mirror didn't move back to the original position after backing out of my parking spot, so I put the car in park (doors unlocked) and got out to check it out.

I tried to open the door, and surprise! The doors had locked as soon as I had shut the door.

As far as I'm concerned it was a glitch, not related to the settings. Luckily for me I left my apartment unlocked (my roommates were home) so I was able to get my other set of keys and unlock the car instead of letting it run out of gas and die, which would've been the case had I not been home.

I say just deal with it and be more mindful of the setting you have it on with the door locks and such. Otherwise you could be screwed over again.

If it's not ur settings it could b a sensor as @TLfiend said, was this the first time it happen to u, or always. If it was ur first time did u unlock the doors wit ur stk key alarm n not open the door for 5mins, cuz it does lock automatic if u do that just curious, happen to me one time, I suggest u reset da setting n ur memory setting. N try again, if that doesn't wrk, I'll take it to a dealer n explain the concepts.

Love it when folks post the resolution to their problem!!
An accurate thread title helps also!

Which door lock actuator went bad? The driver's front? I've had this same problem now for about 3 weeks. Yesterday it seemed to go away on its own but I want to fix it anyways so it doesn't come back and give me a headache.
