Door Lock Trim

So I went out to my car today and noticed the door lock trim (the trim around the door lock on the exterior of the car) on the passenger side front was missing. I figured it had just fallen off at speed (oops? ) but then I went over to the driver side to see what the deal was... well the piece was still on the car, but I managed to pull it right off (and I mean the thing basically fell off) with my index finger and thumb. After taking a closer look, I realized some of the little tabs (or whatever you call em) were broken and I decided then that someone had tried to break into my car, failed then put the pieces back on the car that they had somehow pried (and borken) off...

Before I lose all sense of security to my new found paranoia, I figured I would ask all of you if you had had those things fall off. I'm guessing not, but did you? ? ?

Thanks for any input,
Evan

PS Hope this doesnt happen to you. I'm pissed off.

This has happened to me, without intervention... There's a service bulletin about this.. ANd its covered under warranty... Basically metal frame inside that the little box is attached to is slightly off in terms of the proper fit. That's why it will fall off sometimes. Just take it in.. They'll take care of you.
