i read about the problems of that door handle thing comin off and was just wondering if anyone has any tips on tightening to make sure it doesnt come off. mine just came off today.

was thinking about using super glue but that would just be ghetto.

Take if to the dealer. There is a TSB to fix it. New cover and backing plate.

also will they replace both sides. cause when the front passenger side came off... i check the driver side and it was very loose also...

both rear doors are on there tight though, so it should not impose any future problems..

 

I don't see why not. It's a known problem. Part is only about $10 - $15, so it's not over-the-top to have 'em replace both while you're there.

Just ask, worst case they say, "no".

 

hey guys, i have the same issue on my TL, i have extended warranty, i called a dealer and got the bs that its wear and tear, anyone able to get away with this by any chance?
maybe any examples of ppl in canada by any chance?

 

2 dealers so far have shut me down telling me its not under warranty, this is crazy
