Hey guys i have a 6 speed 07 TL Type S with a AEM V2 intake i noticed that at times i launch redlining 1st slide it into 2nd and it just revs and doesn't get the gear until i lay of the throttle? Anyone know why?? Recently happened at the track and made me loose to a slow civic on the 1/8th 😑

 

I'd put money on a slipping clutch

Clutch feels fine it's been happening since intake came on

 

you described the symptoms of a slipping clutch.
rev's shoot up but speed stays the same. "doesnt grab" etc. etc.

take it easy for now and you can prolong the inevitable. Eventually; you'll have to get it replaced.

if u have not did the slave cylinder mod on ur TL this is what happens, mine did the same, did the slave cylinder mod and works great

 

Yup, it's your check valve you need to remove and your clutch is slipping.

Id also say it could be your tires if they are bald.. Maybe try to rotate your front/rear and see if that helps
