Does your 6MT slave cylinder click and grown?
Does your 6MT slave cylinder click and grown?
Like most owners with the 6MT, the clutch takes a little getting used to, but mine still seems to engage quite quickly. I saw the thread about bad clutch master cylinders, so when my son was pressing the clutch peda while I was under the hoodl, I was surprised by the amount of noise that comes from the slave cylinder. It does a lot of clicking and growning, and I am wondering if it might be sticking.
Has anyone else ever noticed this? The car was cold from being in the garage all night. I am wondering if my slave cylinder is working properly. Always seems like the clutch is engaging very high on the clutch pedal travel.
Thanks, ML

Try this
WIth white lithium greese, lubricate the clutch where it enters the firewall. Engage and disengage the clutch while lubricating.
My clutch "clicks" after 10K miles or so. I lubricate and the "click" feeling goes away.
I also had my slave cylinder replaced early on due to noises, but this issue, where you can "feel" the click through the clutch pedal, is a lubrication issue and is easily solved.
