Question Does not recognize FOB

Today I went into my '05 TL and the car did not recognize my FOB. The memory settings were still in memory, i.e. if I pressed the button on the door, the seat adjusted correctly. Later in the day, it worked as normal. Anyone else have this problem? I only have 500 miles on the car, so I doubt it's the FOB battery.

If it happens again, I'd probably change the battery. Just because you've only had it for a few weeks doesn't mean the battery hasn't been in the FOB for a while. If it still gives you trouble after that I'd take it back to your dealer and ask for a new FOB.

Possibly the battery. Try the second fob and see if it recognizes that one. If it does well then the battery is the problem in the other remote.

Or switch batteries if the other one works good, to check the first one.
