Hi,

i got my 06 TL around 86k and i have driven to 96k

I dont know whether the previous owner ever changed the transmission fluid
and the filter. i sometime get a little nudge as if hitting a brake from going 30 mph to 40 mph. I was told to drain and refill the transmission fluid 3 times but can i do that in a day or do i have to give few days expand of each drain and refill?

you change the filter? i thought the transmission filter is located underneath

and inside of where you drain the fluid out?

 

No harm no foul to swap it out

 

so i shouldnt worry about changing the filter? Then can I 3Xdrain n refill all in a day? for instance drain n refill then drive for 10 mins and drain n refill ?

 

If your unsure if it has been changed i would do a 1x3 and wait between to see what happens. There is a filter you can replace and several screens under selenoids that can be cleaned out.

 

Do it fast before its to late!...that nudge is going to get worse

where is this filter? people are telling me that its in the transmission under the car and some say its right next to the battery, im confused?
