Just got my 2008 TL last week and I'm loving it. It has a couple of issues that need to be resolved though before I can say its "perfect" one of which being the odd dinging noise it makes when I make a turn. It is hard to see because the steering wheel blocks the dash when I turn, but a small light blinks right above the top right corner of the odometer in the speedometer gauge. I noticed this most often when having a portly passenger in my car, and again only during turns.

Any thoughts what this might be?

No, I don't think so. It's probably the door sensor. Happens fairly often. The sensor thinks the doors is open starts chiming. There are numerous "Problems & Fixes" threads.

Try seaching "Door Sensor".
