I couldn't find a thread with my exact issue so I'm making a new one. While in autostick and coming to a stop the trans will shift (i let it downshift on it's own) to first but very abruptly, like a hang and bump shift down.

Also, while accelerating once I get to 5th i get a very rough shift from 4th to 5th. Both of these issues only seem to happen in autostick (besides the normal slightly rough shifting in regular mode that is apparent with this trans).

~120k on the clock, just had the trans drained and filled at the dealer with DW-1 about a month ago.

Any ideas?

 

hard shift = slippinng. start looking for a replacement or rebuild it.

I've experienced a failing/slipping auto trans before - the problem i'm having feels nothing remotely like this.

I'm aware of the 3rd/4th pressure switch preventative thing but I see no reference to 1st and 5th gears in that thread (I skimmed it cause it's like 19 pages). Can you point me to what you're specifically referencing?

 

oh, i forgot it's an 07' TLS.

 

so it's been over a year and I still have this issue - it hasn't gotten worse or better. anybody have any ideas?
