My dead pedal is making a creaking sound when rest my feet on it and annoying the hell out of me. How do I remove it to investigate the noise??

 

I think there are just some screws or fasteners that hold it to the ground. It might even be snapped into a bracket thats attached to the floor.

It's weird that your dead pedal is making a noise, though. It never moves, lol.

 

It's dead.. it shouldn't be making noises.
