Dashboard Bulbs...
I have two bulbs on my dashboard that have went out...one for my heated seats and another for my Air Conditioning on the driver side. I called Acura to have them just replace the two bulbs and their trying to tell me its going to cost me 400+ dollars...
They want 150 for a Diagnostic check then 75 per bulb and labor charges.
Am I missing something? Is this normal?

Getting to them might suck a little bit. Remove the metal strips and and maybe the stereo (dunno here). But not 400 bux suck.
Tell them that you can diagnose it for them... The bulbs are burnt out, and have them pay you 150.

I bought the bulbs myself from acura. It's not 3 bucks... Trust me.
I bought 5 bulbs for $28.00 They are expensive for bulbs that only last a short time. I don't know what their labor hr/rate is but, It shouldn't take the tech no more than 20 mins to replace the bulbs around the radio. They will probably charge you a little over an hour for labor plus parts. $400 is unheard of unless they are willing to replace every single bulb in that area.

Depending on the bulb (35852-SEP-A02 Center of the switch) is $3.42
or (light showing its on or off 35853-SDA-A01) is $3.14
The Drivers side switch Assembly (39053-SEP-A01) is $74.14
and depending on the light..
39055-SEP-A21 - $3.42
39055-SEP-A31 - $3.42
or I think its this one: 39054-SEP-A01 - $3.57
www.acuraoemparts.com
Look under CENTER MODULE (NAVI)
and SWITCH
So the lights are about 3 (and a half) bux.. Speaking of that I need to order some of those stupid lights.
Call a Honda dealership see how much they would charge...

cheapest place where I bought a bunch of interior bulbs was delray acuras online store. the service manual can be found on acurazine and its easy. I did all of the steering bulbs and around the speedometers since I was in there. Just replace the working ones since you are in there and keep the old ones as spares, as least that what i did

I just followed the manual procedure for removing the steering wheel, it was pretty easy from what I remember, nothing bad happened. I think there was a waiting period after you disconnect the wires, everthing is in the manual though.
