Hello, Have a problem with my 04 6MT.. Went 2 my car dis morning, unlock doors, put key in ignition, sink' the Clutch turned key.. Noticed that there wuz no lights on my Dashboard & Radio was not working.. But my Alarm, Dome lights, Headlights & High beams all worked.. Checked battery & cables all good.

I was reading similar issues on forum about car not starting.. But I didn't have any clicking or flickering issues...

I called da Dealer & they said they couldn't tell til they see the car..

This is where my morning F@%k$ up.. I call Acura roadside Assistance 2 find out my Warranty is up because I'm ova the 62k mileage... So now I have no warranty & roadside took it 2 a shop they had closeby because I was way 2 far from the dealer..

So now I have a car sitting in a shop, that doesn't know what or where 2 start.. All they said is , it could be the Computer or something Electrical...

Can you say Mo' Money, Mo' Money....

 

How about fuses? The TL is weird the way the fuses are set-up.

 

Has the fuses, battery, alternator, starter, ignition... everytihing checkes &
still can't get da car 2 start... They said that when they jump da car it starts.
but once u take da wire off, it shuts off

 

sounds like a bad alternator cousing ur battery to go bad... also u should check the main fuse coming from the alternator to the underhood fuse box...

 

It does sound like the alternator.. Try putting a new battery on the car and see if it'll start. If the car starts and runs with the new battery, disconnect the hot terminal of the battery while the car is running. If the car dies once you do this, it is a faulty alternator.

 

Had car in shop... Mechanic said that it wuz Manufacture's fault.. Who ever assembled the car left the power wire's out behind the dash.. inbtween da plastic & da metal frame that the cluster sits on.. & everytime the car wuz turn'd on da wire wuz gettin hot.. til it burned thru the plastic, then eventually the wire & spark'd the metal & shorted out da dash.. The car had gotten fix by a regular mechanic.. but a week later it went out again.. now car is at the Dealer...
Changed Battery & everyting else is good. When I dropp'd it off the at the Dealer, they said they never heard of such a problem... Waiting now for them 2 find the problem.....
