Question Dash rattle while driving

Has anyone else experienced a rattling/vibrating sound coming from front dash? I don't believe this happens all the time, but some days it is louder than other days.

I recorded a video of the sound and posted it on youtube.

there's two issues and solutions that i came across in my car.

1) there is rattling where the dash meets the windshield. this was very noticeable when i upgraded my motor mounts. so i literally stuffed foam tape (1/2" thick i think) inbetween the dash and the windshield using some needle nose pliers

2) there is rattling from that front center speaker. i popped it out, the dash has these ledges for the speaker to rest on and I put the same foam tape all the way around the perimeter of where the speaker sits, there's some spots where the speaker sits on a ledge and there is metal to metal contact.

Great reply, thanks!! I will definitely have a look at it. Whereabouts did you put the foam between the glass and dash? (The whole joint?)

Side note, do/did you notice rattling from the sub or rear speakers? I have another rattle back there as well.

The other one that happens is the vent on the dash to the left of the speedo etc. And it will sound like it comes from all over. Just pull the vent straight out and put a little foam etc around the duct behind it. Reinstall.

you can put like five 1" long pieces across the entire dash and you'll be fine, don't need to do the entire length.

for the back i did have that rattle. the first step i did was use that same foam and put it on raised points under the rear deck so there was cushioning. i also put some inbetween the rear window and the deck.

there was still some rattling and i wanted to improve my bass sound, so i covered the entire rear metal deck in dynamat and used the foam tape and there was a huge increase in sound quality. and 90% of the rattles went away, sometimes i get a rattle on a bass heavy song from the seat belt mechanism, but i'm ok with it since it's rare

I'm going to try this as soon as I get home, hopefully this fixes some of my rattles. But by far the worst won is the damn glovebox, it drives me crazy it's like two bb's rattling around inside of it. Tried taking it all apart and greasing it, no luck. It's going to drive me insane got a fix for that?
