Dash clock

I have a 04 Acura Tl with no navi.
As of lately I have noticed that the clock on my dashboard is not keeping time correctly. I have to constantly be setting the clock to the correct time. Does anyone know what's going on? I haven't noticed anything else that is wrong with my car, all the lights work fine.

Thanks.

no one has ever had this problem...?
I have checked all fuses and all are fine, but then again i don't know which fuse supports the dash clock. any ideas on which fuse supports the dash clock?

I'd check battery and alternator voltage with a multimeter as a precaution.

Here's the wiring diagram for the clock, anyway.

Time dilation effect. Stop driving near the speed of light and you should be fine.

My first thought is your car battery is dying. For now, it has sufficient power to start your car, but the voltage is probably inconsistent. Thus, when your car is off, the clock will drift.

I couldn't find that page on my Acural TL manual but after a second look i found it. Thanks for the reply.

my understanding is that a good battery voltage is between 12.4 and 12.7 volts with no load. the battery should be between 14.2 -14.7 volts when the car is on. if i turn on accessories it should drop a little and if it below 12.7 that means the alternator is not charging correctly. if batty voltage is between 12.4-12.7 with out the car on and if the voltage is below 12.7 with load then the alternator is bad?

I'd say that's just fine for your battery and alternator. Alternator voltage should range from around 13.8V to up to 15V sometimes, so that's well within the ballpark. Your problem (sadly, or happily depending on your view) is elsewhere.

It's entirely possible it's the clock itself that's defective too. Just wanted to rule out a possible electrical issue prior to swapping parts.
