Cross thread stud how to fix

Cross thread stud how to fix

I have an 05 Acura TL manual with one of my studs in the front is cross thread, was wondering if anyone have a solution to fix the thread or just replace the stud? I had a shop re-thread it but it got cross thread again so I was thinking if he did it right or should I buy the cross thread somewhere and do it myself(where would you buy that piece to re-thread?). How hard would it be to replace the stud myself if theirs a DIY here or should I just bring it to a shop? Any help would be great thanks.

Stud where?? Front wheel studs can be bought at most parts dealers.

If you want to chase the threads, get a 12mm x 1.5 thread die. If a round die you can get a vertical die holder or use a large socket if 6 sided. If using a socket you'll need to put a smaller socket inside to keep the die at the end.
