crank no start
05 Acura TL 6ML. Seemed like idling was a little off, like it would drop rpm while stopped but in gear. Yesterday husband was driving home from work (his ford expy is broke too lol), he said something with tranny felt off, then he said it was almost like car was going to shut off. He said the car was a little unresponsive also. Today when he was leaving for work the car won't start. It will crank but not turn over and start. I tried knocking on the starter but nothing. The battery isn't dead and I can hear the fuel pump coming on. I did notice that the starter is from napa so I'm assuming it's already been replaced. The car has 128k miles. One owner before me. Any advice is very much appreciated!!!! We are down to no vehicle and have 4 kids....
We replaced the starter with a brand new one. It started up for about 3 seconds then stalled out. Felt like the whole car was shaking. Husband says it’s almost like something to do with it not getting fuel properly. We can hear the fuel pump priming though. Battery tested at 12 volts with meter. Having aaa come get it today and taking it to Honda dealership. So disappointed finally got my dream car and it dies on me. Not to mention we already have a broke truck 🤬
Starter will have nothing to do with it stalling. A starter starts the engine. It has no other function once the engine is running. If it stalls out it either isn't getting the proper amount of air, fuel, or spark. Unfortunately there are multiple things that can cause any one of those to be wonky.

1. First thing that I would do when engine is turning over (starter works), but it doesn't run or keep running, is to try running it with carb cleaner or starting fluid.
Just spray some in the intake. There should be some videos how to.
It gives you idea if fuel or spark or some other system is bad.
2. Usually reading codes don't offer much help if engine is not even starting, but maybe there is something stored from when the car was starting to run badly. Try reading them.
If it's in the shop already, keep us updated. It's always nice to know what went bad,

?Final Fix.? @ FOUR Children!
Yes, These are dream cars! But still require proactive attention to insure a high level of dependability.
Hoping you / Dealer had good luck. Sometimes with knowledge learned here, you can help the Dealer!
I know you are busy with FOUR Children! But Please give us one sentence about Final Fix.
Thanks so much!
Sometime when you don't have anything to do! Ha! You can read up of regular scheduled maintenance items so as to take proactive approach toward dependability!

Life....
so sorry I never posted fix! It was bad gas 😐. The dealership said I basically had river water in my tank. They dropped tank, drained and cleaned everything and it was fixed!!! Didn’t cost me anything, the convenient store footed the bill. It was about $500.
