Cracked Dash and Aerospace 303- Data Points

I'm posting this more as a data point for other 3G TL users. My 2005 TL with 160K miles just this month developing the dreaded cracks on the dashboard. 4-5 cracks from 1" to 5" long are appearing out of the blue in various spots.
My car is garaged at home, garaged at work every day, and I use a reflective sun shade. Additionally, I keep my dash clean, don't smoke, and apply Aerospace 303 several times a year.
I don't dispute the effectiveness of 303...I just don't think it's the magical elixir to avoid cracks at some point on a 3G TL...so don't hold your breath if you think applying any protectant helps long term.

I don't care what you use on the dash. You could literally use the heat shield tiles from the retired space shuttle and the dash would still crack. It's sad that a 35 thousand dollar car has this problem, tiff tiff Honda/Acura. Buy a new dash and that will crack to sometime down the road with almost 100% guarantee. They did not change the materials that the dash boards are built with for 07 08. Cover it and forget about it.

I got my car in mid-2007. Used 303 since then always preceded by a gentle cleaning to remove any dirt. But like the other poster said, and I agree, it's bound to happen.

it's probably moreso from the dash expanding and contracting with temperature swings.
that means; a topical dressing wont do shit.

my car is still a garage queen. I've owned her for 8 years already and she doesnt stay outside in the sun.
No dash cracks!
no topical dressing either.
I do clean with damp microfiber cloth

I just use a microfiber cloth like you justnspace. I would say the TLs I just bought was garaged based off the paint and interior and the windows aren't tinted (yet). There is no cracked dash **knock knock**. My previous TL had it and honestly it didn't bother me. I keep my interior so clean to where attention was brought to other parts of the cabin because it look so good. Nothing worse than a nasty interior.

OP don't worry about it. Sounds like you take care of your car. Just sucks Acura never bothered to change the material to offer for people who want to buy a new dash.

it's also a 10+ year old car.
I don't know any one else's experience with previous cars, but it's just what happens to older cars.
like, there's absolutely no reason to get upset over something out of your control.
I've always had shitty 90's POS' that had brittle plastic. My expectations DID not go up because I paid more for a newer used car. That's the key.
JUST because the car is marketed as an entry level premium car, DOESNT mean your expectations are higher. it's a car. that can and will break.

and if one wants to argue that point; all you have to do is look at HIGHER priced cars than Acura's.
For a long time, German cars broke and broke often. That didn't stop people from buying and enjoying them.

it's also like relationships. if your expectations are at Disney levels of romanticism, you'll be sorely disappointed
