Cooling fans surge

When the fans kick on the whole car wants to move forward. Is this normal on an Acura TL? Just seems like it's a power hog.

No that is not normal. Is it the cooling fans kicking on or the A/C kicking on that causes the surge?

A/C is not on so just cooling fans. Actually have the heat on.

If using "AUTO" the compressor can still engage. If it really is just the fans...something is really wonky. If it is the fans plus the compressor...it is a bit more normal since the compressor can cause a surge/hit on the engine RPM. If it really is just he fans and you get a surge...I would assume it is related to a the charging system...battery or alternator.
