Cooling fan runs due to low battery voltage?
Saturday night my 2005 TL's driver-side cooling fan continued to run after shutting off the engine from a 10 minute drive home. The fan ran for over an hour until it drained the battery. I jumped it, drove 10-15 minutes, and turned the car back off -- the fan again ran until it drained the battery.
I had the car towed to Gary Force Acura in Nashville where they changed out the battery and said "the fan was running due to low battery voltage".
This makes zero sense to me. The battery's voltage is low so let's run the fan? wtf
Can anyone make sense of this for me?

one possibilty is the low volts gives a false signal somewhere and freaks the computer out
They did replace the battery, warranty? dont expect more than 3 to 4 years from any battery especially the OE unit.
There are many early deaths of them and warranty replacements
The other thing would be a bad fan/temp sensor- usually located on bottem right-passenger side of radiator- on gen2 TL at least- your car may vary
Thats bad and the fan runs and runs
Drive the car and see if its fixed
