Coolant Leak, Need Help

Got some pics of the leak, not sure exactly where it starts yet. It is a very small amount and has only happened two times in the past three weeks. The size of the drops on the floor has been no more than the a two inch diameter. The coolant level of my car has not dropped below the minimum line on the car. Both times were nights in which it dropped below freezing outside.

check your clamps on your hoses. low temperatures causes contracting, causing the hose connection to become loose. just my guess. Hope it helps!

I will be doing that soon, but highly doubt it because the hoses are on the other side. But thanks for the input.

That looks like the bracket for the AC, so it's pretty far away from the hoses.

There's a drain plug on the front and rear of the block, the rear one has a fitting so you can drain the fluid in the block and the front one does not.

Both of them have aluminum sealing washers sealing them onto the block, I'd take a look at the one on front. The sealing plug on the front is closer to the battery side though, that leak looks like its closer to your serpentine belt area.

Take a look at the timing belt covers, maybe its weeping out from the water pump itself.

Did you have or do the 105k service yet and replace the water pump with the timing belt job?

I suppose you could remove the front timing belt cover and shine a light down inside and see if you can see coolant running down the block, not sure how much you'd be able to see though.

The front TB cover is pretty easy to remove, to really get a look at the water pump you'd have to pull the center timing belt cover which is more involved and the most difficult part of the TB job for me trying to gain access to some of the bolts on the bottom.

If it's coming from there should be able to see it fairly clearly on the timing belt covers where it's coming out of there though.

^+1, it looks like your water pump is leaking from behind the timing belt cover. Have you had the pump replaced yet? What is your current mileage?

My car has about 125k on it. I did the H2O pump and TB done at about 100k. It's even colder this morning so I will be looking once again.
