Question Coolant Cap Problems/Replacement

Hey guys I need your help!

When I went to check the coolant level of my car today I noticed that the coolant cap was cracked and coolant level was low. So I topped it off a little bit above maximum. A few hours later I came back to the car and noticed the coolant was leaking.

So the question is do you guys think the coolant is leaking because the cap is cracked and/or maybe because I topped it up above maximum? (10points for the answer lol)

Where can I find the coolant cap online/do you know the part number?

Here is a diagram (I need number 11):

Thanks for the help!

Where was the coolant leaking, from what area? Normally the coolant will never fill the "overflow" container and never get to the cap. If it loses coolant around the cracked cap then check the assembly for any cracks in the tubing. There have been reports of the overflow hose leaking where it meets the radiator, slit.

If it is the cap, go to the dealer, can't beat the price, $1.47 list:
19102-PM5-A00 CAP, RESERVE TANK $1.47 $1.10

Same thing happened to me. Saw the coolant level was a little over MIN so I bought some at O'Reilly's and filled it a little late that night. Found the cap wouldn't tighten and then felt the jagged edge of the cap.
No wonder it wasn't full.
Had to drive the next day and after getting on the freeway, smelt burning coolant - the little coolant I spilled when filling the tank to MAX and whatever leaked through the broken cap burned/evaporated. Smelled awful and irritated my throat.
I was going to buy the part online and see if I can install it myself, but since you mentioned the dealership has it cheaper, I'll probably go there and have them put it on.

The Acura dealership near me charges $5 for it and the Honda dealership a little further away says it's $3.17.
