Condensation inside windows WHILE PARKED ALL DAY...
Hey guys, I got a question. I live in Miami and its always like 100% humity here. Lately its been raining SOOOOO much and pouring so hard that you cant even see accross the street. Its like you cant see two cars ahead of you pouring.
I drive to work with windows open at 7 am and park my car all day outdoors for about 7 hours. No shade, no roof.
Now and then get a good sunshine in between (crazy Miami weather, it can pour while the sun is shining)
So at 6pm when I get in my car to go home I see humidity/condensation inside my car in these areas (excuse the pics/cell pics). It's wet, I can run my fingers on it and accumulate water. So I use a napkin and dry it off.
It doesnt smell bad in my car at all. (humidity smell). So there is no water leak in these area, that I can see or notice. Normal due to weather?

I would think you had a water leak, blocked up drain hose in the evaporator, disconnected sunroof drain hose or it's just too damn humid! I'd feel around all areas of the carpet, lift up all the mats, check the well pan under the spare tire.

My guess is it's just too humid. I'll bet if you drove to work with all the windows closed and the A/C on it wouldn't happen. The A/C will take some of the humidity out of the inside of the car.

Its rained here before. I dont feel anything wet or see any water spots. I am going for the TOO MUCH HUMIDITY choice here. I just thought it was strange, and it has not happened again since that time. I will see, we are expecting LOTS of rain again. Thanks.

I get the same condensation in the same areas you pointed out in the pics. I commute at night & notice it happens when the temp outside drops quick below 53 degrees. So I just hit the defroster or auto button with the AC on & it goes away. I always leave the auto temp. at 73 degrees when its on & off.
Even though you have the AC off, it still lets a bit of air thru the vents to match the temperature that you last had it on. There another thread that talks more in depth about how our AC units works.
Whats the temp. you normally have it set to on auto or defrost? Play with the temp. to see if it goes away when your AC is off.
