Headliner, Headliner, Headliner!!!
Now I know I have previously posted this, and not to be a thread whore but anyone please help me! I have done numerous searches on the DIY for fixing the falling headliner, from magnets to epoxy. Has anyone truly fixed it and what did you use? I have tried the 5 minute epoxy and no-go. I have tried to redo and reapply the double sided tape as was the OEM, and no go. I have brought it in to Acura and twice they have failed me, also giving me interior damage. I need you guys now more than ever before I trade this thing in for this little irritating thing! Thanks in advance!

I did mine 2 1/2 years ago and it is still as tight as the day I did it. One reason may be I never open the sunroof. Do you drive with the sunroof open often, and drive at high speeds while it is open? If not, there is no reason the fix shouldn't work. Even if you do, it should still work as long as the surfaces are prepared correctly and the right adhesive is used.

My dealer replaced mine under warranty about a year ago and it's been fine ever since. Their first attempt to fix it failed, so they replaced it completely when I took it back. They've been great with the warranty repairs.

RonA:
I NEVER drive with the sunroof open, not even slightly. I used epoxy and did not attach the headliner velcro part to the velcro that was glued to the metal. A day later I attached both velcros and it maybe held for less than a day. What exact adhesive did you utilize for your fix.

I too had the dealer fix it, once a try to reglue and the second a complete headliner replacement. About 4-6 days later headliner fell again. I now feel like the service department is a waste of time, especially when they manage to create a mess or damage to your interior while under maintenance. If there is a tried and true process, materials and steps would be perfect for me to go ahead and try. I will also post pics upon completion to help any other owners who encounter the same problem.
Thanks again fellas!!

Yes, that was one of the original problems I had when I got mine. Bring it into the acura dealership/service center and they will reapply an adhesive that will rid of the problem. Unfortunately that was the least of my problems... good luck!
