Comptech exhaust possible problem

Today i bought a used CT engineering exhaust from a member here, when i came hope and wanted to polish it up i noticed a lots of movement inside of the left muffler. When i shook it a little a lots of debris came out, some of it little pieces of mesh type looking material which is obviously a part of the exhaust. The right side muffler was perfect. Now when i installed it everything seems to be ok sound wise, i cant notice any problems but should i be concerned. Is the muffler going bad or is it bad already?

what should i do ?

thanx

was it a fine mesh material in chunks that looked like a honeycomb that wasn't metal that looked like this:

That's the catalyst and that means that the person with the exhaust before you's catalyst was failing and falling apart.

Now that you say it did look like it was material from the 3rd cat but how come it ended up only in the left side muffler. Some of it was just black small debris.

Also when i shook most of it out, something inside still felt loose while I continued shaking it. If i contact the manufacturer maybe they can have it fixed or replaced... Or maybe i should just leave it as is?
