New here and thinking of buying a used TL. I was wondering if there are usual problems that these cars suffer from. i have heard the following:

-control arm bushings failure

-body / hardware issues

-do these engine require periodic valve adjustments?

look in the service section and browse the TSBs. Those would be problems "common" enough to document.

The first scheduled valve adjustment is performed at the 105k service along with the timing belt replacement.
