Clutch replacement suggestions/tips

So im fairly new to the forum as I just bought my new(to me) 05' Acura TL 6MT with 130k about 2 months ago. Ive used the forum a lot and I cleared and blacked out my headlights, and installed an amp and subwoofer in my car thanks to these forums.
This is my first manual vehicle and when I test drove it everything seems in tip top shape. well end of last week I was getting on the highway and I was in 4th gear and I hit the gas to speed up and the rpms shot up, but didn't really speed up that quick. and Ive been driving it a lot and noticed the symptoms , and figured out that my clutch it slipping.
it will shift smoothly up and down in all gears, but its just when I go to speed up quickly, the rpms will go up but the speed wont. (like it should)

So Im wondering if all I need is a Clutch kit that includes a Clutch disk, Pressure plate, release bearing, and alignment tool.

I'm pretty mechanically inclined (everything besides engine internals) and would much rather do it myself over a weekend, and save a good amount of money and learn something rather than get charged and arm and a leg to have a shop do it. but the only problem I saw when reading the DIY's on clutch replacement was I don't have a lift and it seems like it'd be pretty damn difficult to do without one.

anyways.. hopefully someone can chime in with some good advice. Thanks in advance!

The LUK clutch kit, Part # 08047 is your best bet. It's the cheapest, and it's OEM without the Honda name on the package. $159.79 from rockauto.com

I recently installed this kit. Works like a charm!

you seriously want to do your first clutch job without a lift?....I say pay a shop to do it, or if you have one of those places that rents out lifts and tools by the hour do that.

I believe you have to lower the sub frame a bit when replacing the clutch.
also, keep in mind you'll have to inspect the flywheel which I would highly recommend not resurfacing.

Its a dual mass flywheel so its not cheap

^there are other ways to do the clutch install without dropping the subframe.
but, yes, the service manual calls for the subframe to be dropped.

I don't wanna do it by myself at all lol, I just asked if its possible or if many people have done it without a lift.
I'll more than likely either pay a shop or see if I can use my friends dads lift (who owns a shop). But yeah the LUK kit looks like a good bet, thanks

Pay a shop if you want peace of mind. I watched mine being done a month ago, and let me tell you that I wouldn't even think of trying this on my own and without a lift no less.
