Clutch Questions! Need help!

Hey everyone

I have an 05 TL 6MT
Got about 60k miles on it- I've had it for the last 10.
No real indication that the previous owner drove it like a jackass

The throw out bearing squeals like a pig with even the slightest touch on the clutch until it is fully engaged. In terms of shifting etc there is no real issue- doesn't slip- fully engaged- not rocky. But the bearing legit sounds terrible.

I am thinking of having the bearing fixed before it leads to something else and I figure having the car opened up like that - that i should just replace the clutch as well. Assuming my flywheel can just be scuffed up a bit and should be fine. Sound logic?

In terms of clutch kits- looks like OEM + bearings is ~320 ish
I have seen some LUK kits online that are around ~170 which seem to have everything. Does anyone have thoughts on the LUK kit or a similarly priced one? I would go with OEM but I am already in the hole roughly 9 hours labor for the clutch job at a local shop

And lastly.... any recommendations for a clutch replacement in Philly/SNJ/Possibly Baltimore

Places I have called so far have been:
Phils Auto Excellence in Philly
718 Motoring in Philly
Import Intelligence
I am also more than happy to compensate a member in the area who is comfortable doing it!

Thanks!

grab the LUK kit for the ~$150-170 price.
then, if your fly wheel needs to be replaced,go to the same place where you got the clutch kit. as it will be cheaper.

the flywheel from the dealer is around $400 or higher.
I bet you could find it for ~$170-200.

then its up to you to find a shop.
I found a shop that changed my clutch for $400. plus the price of the parts. which i paid a little more than you, because I used acuraoemparts.com instead of finding it on ebay or rock auto.
all in all, i paid about $700 for parts and labor.

anything more than 1000 and you're getting ripped off

As we know, the T/O bearing only turns when it contacts the PP, so when pushed and contact is made, the T/O bearing will start turning immediately, so a noise when the pedal is touched slightly and stops when fully engaged doesn't sound like a typical T/O bearing problem.
How about when you stab, or press the pedal to the floor fast/quickly, any noise?

Do most people need to replace the pressure plate along with the clutch/bearing etc?

Car has 55k miles and I am assuming I can scuff up the flywheel- but I am unsure about pressure plate stuff.

pressure plate comes with the kit.
the pressure plate is the part that gets damaged with heat scores and slipping.

It's included in this? I didn't see anything that said pressure plate!

as you can see it's one piece

do you see the wear marks, or heat scores on the pressure plate?

Stock clutch and as you can see it is made by LUK.

As it's part of the kit (picture), what you see is what you get.
