Clunk noise when accelerating after slowing down

08 auto 260k kms.

My car has started making a clunk noise whuch seems to he coming from the front passenger corner, likely suspension related but I cannot identify the problem. In the past 6 montys I have replaced the side amd front engine mounts (noise was not present before or after the change, til now) replaced both dront strut assemblies amd chamged the front passenger end link. Any ideas what it might be?

I am thinking axle may be rusted down so theres some play there but not really sure....

It is a muted knock sound.... If I accelerate lightly I dont hear it but if I give it a bit of gas you can hear it amd it doesnt come back again until i slow right dow amd then give it gas again. Turning doesnt seem to have any effect on the noise being there or notnbeing there.

Any ideas?

By the way I retightened the fork bolt and did have the hub at ride height. Noise still there. Bushings look good except the fork bolt one has a small crack. Maybe that is all it is...

Well I cant find anything wrong... Would a loose ball joint make that noise? Think I am gonna have to just start replacing things and something fixes it.

I suppose no answer could be considered an answer

So this is the noise I have. It is a "pop" that occurs from takeoff or acceleration at low speeds. And sometimes it is a double pop, however so far this spring I am only hearing one pop. It is local to the center of the engine bay and I do not hear it every time I stop and take off, I hear it more so when the weather is warmer, and no that is not cause I have my windows open, I hardly heard it, if I heard it at all throughout the colder months. I also hear the noise sometimes as soon as I let off my brake pedal, hence giving me the idea that it has something to do with the brakes. Is yours a Type-S with brembo brakes? I have heard the hold down springs can make noise, but this theory goes out my window cause when I pull into my garage and apply heavy braking, I hear the same noise only 3 or 4 times with a ratcheting effect sound. I have been chasing this noise for the year I've had my TL, I have found several hits online with talks of bad axles, ball joints, brakes, stabilizer bar end links, axle nuts, axle splines.... the theories are endless, and no one has posted about ever finding a solution to the issue. I have new brake pad springs and pins I'm going to install soon and also going to replace the axle nuts. Prob not going to make a difference, but is worth a shot as maybe a fairly cheap fix. I will post my results soon. Until then, keep on looking and keep me posted if you find a solution.

Are we sure it isn't a bad engine mount or transmission mount?? Slowing down and then accelerating.............

I've already replaced the mounts. It isn't so much a clunk as it is a click. I'm leaning towards cv joint.
