Clogged EGR or starter please help !

Clogged EGR or starter please help !
Hi my 05 TL shuts off on me when I press the on the breaks at a red light or at stop signs . The battery stays on while the car shuts down. Please help not sure if it's a clogged EGR

Well if you get the car started, it won't be the starter...

So when you apply the BRAKES your car shuts off? Does it come to a rough stop or how does it "shut down"?

It no longer starts , when I apply the breaks the car shakes then shuts down.

Sounds like an issue related with the brake booster/engine vacuum system

I haven't tried jumping it because the battery doesn't shut off.
