Clock Incorrect-cannot access Menu to change
Clock Incorrect-cannot access Menu to change
Hey all,
As some of you may have read I just had a new tranny and torque converter put in the car under warranty.
I got the car back today from the dealership, all is well however I noticed my clock is about 50 minutes fast. This would normally be the EASIEST fix in the world.
Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago the Acura dealer removed my entire Navi unit to be sent out for repair due to it being faulty. So currently I'm without Navi or use of the Navi screen for ANY functions (Setup, radio, etc...screen is just black and nothing happens when buttons are pressed)
Is there any way I can "manually" reset the clock without being able to access ANY setup functions? I've tried all the buttons for the system and none are active. Minor issue but quite frustrating!

I had the same feeling after searching on the forums about this earlier. It's just weird that after the car was at the dealer two weeks ago when they removed the unit, the clock was accurate. It only become inaccurate after getting it back again from the tranny replacement.
I'm thinking maybe the disconnection of the battery threw it off? Maybe it was just working because nothing interrupted it since the unit was removed, until they replaced the tranny.
Damn, this seems like a glitch in Acura's design. There should be a manual way to fix it if for some reason Navi is down. I keep thinking I'm late!

I believe you have to accept gps nag screen option, then when you go to the setup screen you should see a More button, in there you should be able to manually configure the time and DST.

It's just a dead screen and no working buttons. He'll need to wait until the repair/replaced unit is re-installed then go through the menu.
i've sent my dvd unit to alpine for repair before. my total down time was 7 days. the guys there work pretty fast, and only took 1 day to ship back to me. granted, i do live about 30 min from their repair shop.

Butt, even if you go through the menu the clock still will not change...
it has something to do with the nav disk.
My buddy (bada$$vtec) clock is wrong as well. he can change it all he wants in the set up screen but it will revert back.
his fix is to cut the battery at a certain exact time.

Bearcat, NO offense taken whatsoever. I just laughed it off honestly.
You're by far not the first person on here to assume I'm not of the fairer sex due to the demographics on this site. I'm certain you won't be the last.

I tried searching how to change the clock without the navi and I found this thread. I'm currently going through the same situation. I sent my navi drive to alpine for repair. It just so happened that I took my unit out the day before daylight savings, so it never had a chance to roll back 1 hour. To add to that, I disconnected my battery for a few hours to work on my car. When I reconnected the battery, the time completely reset and is about 7 hours 50 min ahead(or 4 hours 10 min late). I thought I had lost radio function too, when I reconnected my battery, but after timing some button sequence right, I was able to unlock my radio(still no display working though). The radio works, just nothing shows on screen and the top sub display. I should get my Dvd drive back from alpine next week.
hello all.
so the past few days my clock was reset, i went to change the time but the MORE menu is grayed out, will not let me go in, is there a fix for this?
this is on a 2013 acura TL type S, GPS expired and does not work FYI.
