Climate control sensor off or A/C needs to be recharged?
Climate control sensor off or A/C needs to be recharged?
I have an 06 with 70K miles. Recently, I've noticed recently the A/C still gets cold but it seems like the fan is not blowing as much air as it use to even though the temp settings remained unchanged. If you manually set the A/C to max, the fan seems to work fine. Just at AUTO setting, the fan seems like its not blowing enough air. Could it be something with the climate control sensors or do I need to recharge my A/C? I live in Atlanta and it gets HOT. Thanks
Hi there,
I'm no service pro, but if 1) your fan works fine when you set it to max and 2) it gets cold (not just cool) then I'm going to guess you don't need to recharge your A/C. It sounds more like your climate control thinks your cabin temp is where you set it. Have you tried lowering the temp to see if the fan speeds up?

You might have a bad interior temperature sensor. You can run some diagnostic tests and check the resistance curve of the sensor and then replace it if it's bad. It's only $22 plus shipping and is easy to replace:
