Climate control question
Climate control question
is it normal for our cars to blow warm air through the vents when cold outside? And fresh air when hot outside? Mine was letting in warm air through the vents and it was about 54 degreesF outside and my climate control/ heat was off. I pressed off and there was nothing on the display saying it was on but the warm air was coming in. Is that normal?
Is fan running when climate control is off?
-If window is open, it might create path for the air to come (noticeable when moonroof is tilted and you're driving fast. It sucks air out from the car creating lower pressure, so air comes through the vents) . If you want to block this behavior, turn climate off and put on recirculate. The way for air from the outside will be closed.
-Heater core valve might be sticking, letting some hot coolant to go through, or it was used recently and it's still hot, or it sucks warm air from the engine bay.
