Angry Climate control only blows hot when driving, cold when parked idling

During winter or anything below -10 Celsius (10 F) will blow cold air when parked, no matter if the engine is fully warmed up. As soon as I drive even 5-10 Miles per hour, it will start blowing the hot I air I requested. As soon as I park again, it will start to blow cold again. fan blow strong, climate control works good in summer conditions. Today was - 25 C, and the wife is wanting answers for her car. any ideas people?

I would check your radiator to see if your coolant is low. Not just the overflow container, but the radiator itself too.

Agreed....best guess would be either low coolant or an issue with the HCV not opening all the way.

Perhaps your thermostat is stuck open and not generating enough heat when stationary.

Have you pulled any codes from the HVAC system? That would be a good starting point.
