Climate control "I" code. Open in the driver's air mix control motor circuit
Hello everyone. With the weather turning warmer here in Ohio, I turned my A/C on in my '05 TL and only got warm air (depending on temp outside). I researched the issue as much as I could and found how to troubleshoot the climate control with the self-diagnostic function. It seems I have the "I" code which is an open in the driver's air mix control motor circuit. I would appreciate someone helping me fix this issue. Where do I go to now? Is it a relay or fuse that I have to change? Any help would be appreciated!

It could just as easily be a bad connection. The bad part is to get to this " Driver Air Mix Motor", you have to take the dash apart to get to the heater assy. The motor will be screwed to the driver side of the unit. If it makes it any easier for you,I've attached a picture of the diag. procedure to actually test the motor.

UGGH!! Of course its back there! Why would it be easy to replace? It just wouldnt make good sense! Thanks for the help. If anyone has a diagram or instructions on how to disassemble the dash to get back there, it would be helpful. Thanks!

Hello
My 2004 Acura TL is having a popping noise from under dash
I took out the under cover and take out the plug from Driver's Air Mix Mode control motor
the popping noise stopped I think I will replace the party
below is the picture for the replacement instruction
good luck
