Clicking noise in the shifter area.

Hey guys,

I had my Brakemotive brakes installed recently and as I posted in another thread I had a rough time with the rear rotors being stuck. Now that everything has been done I have this weird clicking noise from the shifter area whenever I come to a complete stop and when I take off once I apply some throttle.

I'm on an 08 TL-S with auto tranny and it's not a noise I had noticed before but it's definitely there now. It's not as if the shifter itself is moving but there's a sound from it that gives that impression. If I rest my hand on the shifter when taking off and such the noise is still there and I don't feel it moving in my hand.

Any clue what might be causing this ?

It's a solenoid in the shifter (the one that prevents you from putting it into Park while in motion) - happens after a while. There's a fix to it but it requires tearing the shifter apart.

I'm still under full coverage warranty so I'll look with my dealer if it's covered withing their warranty.
