Clicking Noise From Axle from park to drive

Hello,
Have an 04 TL with 186,000 miles on it. I recently noticed that when I shift from park to drive or from park to reverse, I hear a faint click and I think it is in my axles. Sometimes it is just one click sometimes it is two clicks. When I get the car moving I do not hear any clicks at all and I don't hear any clicks when I turn my steering wheel left and right. It strictly click (s) when I just shifted from park to drive/ reverse and going super slow and when I am idling in reverse going about two mph backing up from a parking spot. Is this a bad CV joint or maybe a cracked lower control arm bushings. I am not a huge onto knowing what is up with cars and diagnosing them. Thanks for your time and help!

Obligatory IANAM and I don't even have an auto TL but that sounds normal to me. Sounds like the transmission linkage. Personally I wouldn't worry about it.

A CV joint is only going to make noise if the vehicle is in motion so I doubt it's either of your CV joints.

could be your transmission, my park->reverse shift is pretty clunky but shifts through 1-5 fine. if you notice a lot of movement could be motor and/or transmission mounts. maybe change transmission fluid and make sure other trans maintenance is up to date

Just changed my ATF and took it in and trans checked out fine. I’ll see if it continues. Thanks for the response.
