Clicking/clunking in front end while turning?

My new TL-S is clicking and/or clunking from the left front when turning at low speeds. It is most pronounced if I turn the wheel fully left and then drive off. I can even feel it kicking back rythmically through the steering. It sounds like something is going to break...a definite metal on metal resistance.

The car has 1500 miles...I can't imagine it's a CV joint already. Any ideas?

I am making an appointment tomorrow, but I doubt their competence. My '05 had a similar noise (except much less severe) and they claimed "normal operation". It clicked until I traded it in at 23,000 miles.

Sounds like a defective CV shaft to me. Do not let them tell you it's normal. If they try that, ask to test drive another one from their lot, have the service manager go with you and then ask him why THAT car doesn't make the same noise!

Agree

Even new parts are sometimes assembled with a bad piece or improper install- things happen! Its not like acura makes all the stuff themself- parts come off trucks from somewhere, JIT/ just in time, to be put on the assembly line as quickly as possible~

I had a bad CV joint on my 05 last winter and they said that couldnt be possible because the BOOT was not broken. After a few trips they smartened up.
