This is something some of you probably do anyway, but heres my story. I went to the Acura dealer where I used to work for an oil change as I was up to date on everything else. They couldn't get me in, so I ended up at a honda dealer not too far from where I live. Very reputable place. They do the oil and tell me that my passenger side halfshaft seal is leaking, near some sort of bearing.I looked and sure enough it was. They are replacing the whole halfshaft with a new one, which I'm happy about, but what aggrivates me is that this was not a new leak. The tech estimated that it had been leaking for 3000-4000 miles and the tech at Acura should have seen it last time the car was in. So I'll be doing my service at a different Acura dealer from now on.

Good catch by the Honda tech. You gotta go where you KNOW you are getting the best service and they have you in their best interest. Glad your having it taken care of.

Just got it back about an hour ago. This might sound funny, but the car feels stronger. It tracks well. Service was great at the Honda dealer, and they are going to do the 3rd and 4rth pressure switches along with the trans filter next time. The tech has an 06 6spd TL, so we talked about the cars while he waited for the part to get there. I will never go back to that Acura dealer where I used to work for anything ever again.
