Check engine light on, car idling bad- ECU fix
So I was driving in to work this morning when the check engine light came on. The car then began to idle rough and it felt as if it was going to cut off (rough idle, shaking). I barely made it into the office with the car limping in like that. I did the ECU reset, took it for a test drive and much to my surprise, it was fixed. The check engine light is gone and the car is running great again.
Let me add this...I've been having battery problems linked to a bad HFL module. The battery is fairly new (2 months old). Had to jump the car twice in the last week. I ordered the HFL module and I'm waiting to receive it so I can install it.
I'm thinking that the dead battery/HFL issue has somehow glitched the ECU's program. Therefore, the ECU reset cleared it up.
I'll keep you all posted.
