I have notice that my Acura tl makes a chattering sound right before it changes gears. Its a 2005 Acura tl with 5at transmission, i always stay on top of changing the tranny fluid could it be a transmission mount? Any help greatly appreciated

 

BUMP- i have a 2004 6 speed and noticed today a very light chattering sound when letting of the clutch in 1st gear. I have no clue what it could be. I replaced my drivers side axleshaft a while ago but never noticed this sound...i dont think the install was wrong at all but maybe? Also after i replaced the axleshaft i have had this weird skunk type smell in the drivers side wheel well....any help is appreciated

 

Brought the car to the dealership they said the chattering sound is def transmission related, might be a bearing of sorts...they wanted $750 just to get the transmission out. I told them ill have them do the clutch (iv'e never done a clutch so i wouldnt attempt it on my baby) so while they are in there they can look into the chattering problem. It wont be for a while but i will post up what the problem was. The master tech was surprised because he said usually if there is a transmission problem its major like a giant hole in it or something
