Charging problem

That is the exact same problem I dealing with. Debating on getting an alternator. Sounds just like yours because all of my grounds look clean also.
When my battery is hook up, mines creates a fair amount of corrosion on the positive terminal regardless of how often I clean it. going to check mine grounds again, but I know for a fact it needs an alternator.

Ended up replacing terminal and same thing happened which led me to the post. Replaced battery and so far so good!

I just replaced a battery (Thanks Aaa) for this exact issue and it seemed the positive post had a slight crack that seeped acid and corroded the terminal. ( it ate through completely) Attachment 34617

OP-Get a multimeter, inexpensive and can be used for multiple tests, home/auto, and check battery voltage @ 12.4 volts with engine off. Start car and see if charging @ 14 volts with test leads on the bat terminals, then on the cable ends.
If alternator was a remanufactured unit from a store e.g. AutoZone, then probably junk.

Like I said the plastic around the post had probably failed causing acid to leak out slowly and corrode it I replaced it with an aftermarket terminal and in two weeks, it happened again.
I swear I take care of her!!! I haven't even had the car for more than 2 years
