Changing passenger side parking light
Changing passenger side parking light
Before I even get into detail, let me just say how fucking embarrassing it is to ask for help for this minor issue. My front passenger side parking light blew out and I'm trying like hell to figure out how to change the thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Instructions are in the owner's manual, although they're not the clearest in the world. Yes, you have to detach part of the inner liner to reach the light. I recommend rubber gloves to get a good grip on the old bulb, because there may be grit or corrosion that make it hard to turn and you won't have much leverage. I love my car, but you have to:
Pull the dash apart to change the cabin air filter;
Take the front fascia off to change the headlight bulbs;
Detach part of the inner fender liner to change the park light bulbs.
Honda must have believed that Acura owners would just have the service department do this stuff, too rich to dirty their hands!

Thanks so much for this tip! Been working my own cars for 37 yrs (MG, Opel, VW Scirocco/Jetta, Subarus, Hondas, Chevys, Buicks...etc and would NEVER have thought to take the wheel well iner out to change a freaking parking light bulb! Once again -THANK YOU ...old bulb out in less than 60 secs!
Ok guys. I have the same need. Drivers side though. I removed part of the fender lining and could get to the wire connecting to bulb hosuing. But Im not able to twist the bulb housing out. Lefty Loosy is the correct direction to go?
