Changing lights on seat warmer

Does anyone know how to dis-assemble the seat warmer buttons so i can change the lights in them? If you can describe how to do it or send a link with instructions it would be greatly appreciated!

is the bulb dead or are you changing colors of the bulb?
Usually - I havnt checked the TL, you can pop the case for the switch open- its just plastic pieces

If the lights not working and there is no seat heat- it may not be the switch - the heater likes to break a wire in the driver seat, right about where a wallet would put extra pressure on it. The seat heater looks like an old school electric blanket with wires running thru it.

The bulbs are dead on both switches, and they yellow indicator bulb when you turn it on isn't working on 1 side. I have had soo many issues with lights going out in my 04' TL and i don't want to pay an arm and a leg to have it done by Acura. I had multiple issues with light going out on my steering wheel.(The cruise control \ volume control lights)

Sounds like you have a faulty ground wire in the interior light circuit
Does the seat heat work and just the switch lights are out?

Where is our electrical guru--kris- any ideas on this one?

The lights on the driver side seat warmer switch on mines is out too! But heated seats still work. It would be good to know how to replace these lights in case I ever need to do it in the future.

My passenger seat heater switch's light it out, but only the background light—the light that indicates that the seat heater is on still worked OK the last time I checked. I also have a couple of other dashboard lights that are out: "Select/Reset" button, the rocker switch to change the dashboard illumination, the "hang up" button for the HFL, and the "cancel" button for the Navi. I meant to ask for an estimate on repairing these when I took the car in for service on Tuesday, but I forgot (it's not a huge issue, just an annoyance). My TL is a 2004 with about 49,300 miles, no longer under warranty since four years have expired. I would expect that replacing the HFL and Navi button bulbs would involve some level of steering-wheel disassembly.

Burnt Out Bulbs

I got an estimate on replacing the HFL and cruise switch bulbs of $250 today--I passed. (By the way, this dealership has always been fair with me on price.) My seat heater switch bulbs and two of the three Homelink button lights are gone too. Anybody know part numbers or sources for these bulbs? The service manual seems to show them all as 0.84W, but no part number, and I haven't found a supplier on line so far.

To get to the seat warmer toggle switches, you have to disassemble most of the middle console -- there is a DIY on accessing the back of the Acura sound system in the center console that'll get you there:
