Before anything, just wanted to sat that I sis use search. There were too many pages to go through.

My problem, I am getting the 07-08 bumper put on my 2004. the reasearch I have done showed that the bar with that crossed the middle grille did not have to be replaced. My body shop tried putting it on today and found out that it doesnt fit. I also tried doing it today and no luck. looking at the parts, i noticed that there were more screw mounts on the 2004 bar than there were holes on the 07-08 bumper.

Can someone please let me know for sure if i have to order the 07-08 bar for the bumper. the part numbers are different, but would still like to know for sure

The middle bar with emblem needs to be 07-08.
04-06 has a slightly different shape bar and slightly smaller emblem.
07-08, Base and 07-08 Type S have differences too. Make sure you get a Base middle bar (flat/matte silver finish) if you have a 07-08 Base bumper. 07-08 Type S has a different bumper, and the trim color is the smoke chrome finish.

The V-Shape trim piece for the middle grill needs to be 07-08 also.

Main Parts needed:
Bumper
LT and RT lower side grilles around the fogs
Fog Housings
Middle bar w/ emblem
V-shape trim for middle grille

There's a ton of info on this, try searching "bumper conversion". It gets expensive for a full OEM nose conversion when the parts and painting are added up.

I had it changed over because they had to replace the bumper anyways after it got vandalized. I already got everything else except for the middle bar, because when i did look last time i did not see that the middle bar need to be replaced. I let the body shop know and they should have it by tomorrow, so that the body shop can finish it by friday.

I have a 08 base bumper with the entire chrome type-s grille assembly (hood trim,center bar, "A" Emblem) . Fits for me
