Question changing fog light bulbs

just got some new piaa's i want to swap them in this weekend. on the driver side there is a small black duct with what looks like 2 bolts or fasteners. this duct has to be removed to get to the fog light bulb. my question to those of you out there is how to properly remove these 2 fasteners. they look fragile and i dont know where to begin. even in all the manuals i have it just says remove bolts but doesnt say how or what tool to use if any. any help would be appreciated.

I know exactly what ur talking about. Just yank it out, dont be shy, the clips that hold it are actually pretty strong. Be aware that under that duct is an air intake tube that just slides right out. By the way how much did you pay for your PIAAs.

It is easier to remove the headlights to replace these bulbs, IMO.

What year is your TL? Are the fogs integrated into the headlights or are they down low in the bumper?

For the 3G TL, years '04 to '06 and those which have their lighting assemblies the same as these years, you do not need to remove anything other than the large plastic covers to get to the fog lamps for replacement.

But it's still a PITA to change them without the headlight being out lol to me anyway, I can have my headlights and bumper off in 5 minutes. I'm weird Maybe it's my big hands that drives me away from not removing the bumper.

Thanks for all the reply's. i did yank them out and you guys were right super easy but i had to remove the battery to swap out the driver side bulb. i then noticed 3 screws holding them tight. i just loosened one to rotate and remove each bulb. the whole procees was kind of a pain with removing the battery and screws and all but im happy with the results. i bought a pair of PIAA ION PLASMA YELLOW hb4 bulbs on ebay for like 70 bucks. they look great on my 05 with the hid's and everything. nice contrast and they penetrate well in bad weather wich is a plus and the 2 reasons why i bought them. only negative was that i had to enter the 4 digit NAV code and 6 digit RADIO code to get them working again. lucky for me the previous owner was meticoulus with everything and the anti-theft/code sticker was still with the owners manual. thanks again for all your reply's.

Glad i could help, quick question, what three screws are you talking about, my fog light bulbs had no screws I just needed to rotate them. Also if you ever have to do this again, you dont need to disconect the battery, just loosen the tie down and move the battery back a bit.

To my surprise there were 3 screws holding them in on my 05. I was shocked and upset cause none of the manuals mention this but it was my reality. I had to loosen just 1 of them to get the bulb to turn and remove so it wasn't that bad. Ill keep in mind the whole moving the battery back next time. Thanks!
