Changing Air Filters

Any idea how hard it is to change the cabin air filter and
the normal engine air filter on an '04 TL?

What do these filters cost if you buy they at the parts counter?

I am sure if I pay Acura to do this along with the oil change,
they'll charge through the eyeballs.

The dust and pollen (cabin air) filter will run around $22, and is not that hard to change. More info here from the 3G Garage.

The air filter is even easier and runs around $26. Just remove the 4 screws holding the cover on, reach around the back of the cover and pull up on two clamps that hold the wiring loom on the cover, and then lift the cover off. No need to separate it from the tube that runs to the intake.

For roughly $47 and some change, you could just get a K&N air filter and not have to worry about replacing it anytime soon. I just replaced mine with one from K&N and I haven't had any problems. I just wash the filter every 4 to 5 thousand miles and I'm good to go.
