Chances of getting TSB 05-050 out of warranty

Ive had a problem for quite a bit. my rear tires have been wearing out like no other. I had figured it was a bent camber arm from an accident, so I got a camber kit. car rode alot smoother, alot quieter from what I could tell. but I was wrong, it was just new tires.

Here was the first pair

Second pair

I was so confused. after hours and hours of searching, i stumbled upon this

Unfortunately, im now out of warranty at 87k. and I have a camber kit
The TSB reads"Make sure the vehicle suspension is not modified and it has the original wheels and tires"

Now I dont expect them to pay for the tires, (ill buy my own) but what do you guys think the chances of getting my car fixed are without money out of pocket?

That TSB wouldn't apply anyhow. It is for excessive EVEN wear on the tire.

When was the last time you had the car aligned? TLs are notorious for that inside wear on the rear tires if the least bit out of alignment. I had the same thing happen to me. If they cannot align it to Acura specs with your camber kit installed, then you'll have to either pull the kit or live with the wear.

Even so, the rear tires are significantly more worn out than the front ones. oh well, I guess ill just have to suck it up, get new tires and another alignment.

Yeah, it was my rear tires only. Front ones were fine. The rear alignment was slightly off and it caused that same wear on the rear tires. I think for about $80 your problem will be solved, assuming that can pull the car within specs with that camber kit. Also assuming that the factory specs still apply with a camber kit installed.
