Center Console Power Socket Won't Work
My front power socket works, but my center console one doesn't work. I already checked my fuse that says Front Accessory Socket and it isn't blown. Any advice?

So I replaced the fuse this morning and same results, the front socket works but the center console one still doesn't. Is there any other thing I can do?

Many tech's forget to plug back in that power outlet when they put back the center console together. It's fairly easy to open up and check. Remove the silver strips and the 4 screws and simply slide back an inch or so and then lift up! The DIY to remove the center console is posted in the garage!

So I just got back from taking my center console apart and it was really scaring taking them trim pieces off especially in the top part near the controls and stuff but I did manage to take it off. I found out that I didn't even have to take the top part off just the bottom. But anyways, I found out the problem why my center console power socket doesn't work is because the previous owner had a sub/amp and he installed a lil gauge for the battery voltage in one of the cup holders. I knew this prior to buying the car, but it turns out that in order to power up the lil guage he cutted the power socket black and white wires. So, what can i do to make it power back? I don't know much but I always love to tinker around in the car. Thanks for your help guys.

Not to be a smart ass but reconnect the wires and if you have no need for what the other guy put there then take it out... Its best to use a soldering iron but if not get the crimp on connections and make sure to use something to cover the connection or it might ground out being near to the body of the car.... Take care

you can, but you just need to have the wires run in parallel that way both objects see 12v of power. however keep in mind that if the gauge thats too much power, and you combine it with using the power socket, it may overload the fuse and blow it. however that may not even happen, just keep it in mind, and dont put like a 75W plug adapter on the car socket.

deantl I don't get it, you had the socket replaced and it was fine? But my problem is that I still have the socket just the 2 wires in the back aren't connected to anything. So I guess I just have to crimp my original wires and just connect the wires that are attached to the socket but isn't attached to anything. does that sound right? lol
