Center console clicking

On my center console where the shift knob sits, I'm getting a clicking/chattering because it seems like the panel is loose or something. Does anyone have a fix or diagram to take this apart? It is there both on bumpy roads and even smooth pavement.

just open the bottom cubby hole and pull up on the lower shift cover. the top and bottom come off togather. get some foam and cut it in thin strips and place it on the under side of both. place it on the ridges of the under side of the bigger cover then place them back togather.

here is how to fix the clicking

fisrt you will need honda foam. runs about $45 a box. well spent if you own a 01- 08 tl

first remove the shifter and lock out cover

now filp them over and you will see ridges

now cut the foam into small but long with a razor

wrap it close to the middle edge on the lock out cover

now samething will the shifter cover

now just reinstall. it will be tight. make sure no foam is sticking out . test drive to confirm fix
