Cel with exhaust cutout?
here we go again, a whole bunch of problems happening..... so this morning i turned my car on and pulled it out of the garage to warm it up. i have an exhaust cutout and its really loud and i didnt want to wake up everyone at home so as soon as i turned the car on, i quickly put it in drive drove 15 feet and put it in park and went back inside so the car could warm up for a few min. i get inside my car and i see that the cel is on.... great!
so now im unsure what caused this problem. i had a cel p-1074 (i think) the code for lean bank #2 while my cutout was open a few months ago like december. i went to my mechanic, he cleared it and i closed the cutout and no code. since then ive opened it rarely but closed it up within a day or two (i have the electric piece, just dont have time to put it in and wire it up) anyways ive had the cutout open since friday and its wednesday now so 5 days, could it be that because the exhaust cutout is open that its throwing a code?? because essentially the cutout is a huge leak in the exhaust. my mechanic said that the lean bank #2 is probably because of a leak and he said that the cutout could possibly be it or just a leak somewhere in the vacuum lines.
another thing i am thinking... could it be possible that because i threw my car into drive as soon as i started it, that it put stress on the engine (i did not give it gas at all, just took my foot off the brake)?? but my friend has a tsx and he beats the hell out of it without even giving it a second to warm up, i mean gets on the gas at wot as soon as he pulls out of his driveway and hes had no problems at all.
i will unplug my battery later on today and close the cutout and see if the code goes away or comes back. should i also try seafoam it?? maybe its some bad gas or something. any input would be appreciated, im just frustrated that i have to deal with these problems while dealing with exams at school and work at the same time. thanks for your help

basically i have the primary cats in the collectors (havent installed my pcds yet) then i have the rv6 v3 jpipe and after that i have the cutout mounted right as the stock catback bolts to the jpipe.

it looks like that but it comes off right after the jpipe. it just dumps the exhaust gases out quicker before the mufflers.
